Many pet owners don’t want to leave their cherished pets in kennels when they go on holiday abroad, which is where the Pet Passport comes in.
To avoid them going into quarantine The Pet Travel Scheme (PETS) exists for those bringing their animals back into the UK from an EU country.
To qualify for the scheme your pet must have a Pet Passport issued by a veterinary surgeon; it must be microchipped, vaccinated against rabies and treated against tapeworm.
